Remote but accessible aptly describes the Thai island of Kood, on which Soneva Kiri is set amidst the lush tropical rainforest, off the south-east coast of the Gulf of Siam. International guests are personally met on arrival at Bangkok’s Suvarbuhmi airport and transferred to the resort’s own airplane for the one-hour flight to the Soneva Kiri airfield. From the air, the beauty of untouched Thailand and Koh Kood, with its white sandy beaches is immediately evident.

Accommodations - Soneva Kiri :

Upon landing, guests are greeted by their Mr or Ms Friday - who will be on hand during the entire stay – and escorted on the five-minute Aquasense power-boat crossing from the airfield. Upon stepping ashore and a warm welcome, a short electric buggy ride arrives at the oversized pool villa, which is a testament to environmental responsiveness and intelligent luxury. The buggy is a private discovery vehicle during the guest’s stay. There is also a self-sustaining Eco Villa for those wishing to be on the cutting edge of innovation and the Six Senses Evalution programme.

Six Senses Spa : A Six Senses Spa is a focus within the resort. A team of international and Thai therapists take guests on sensory journeys with Six Senses a la carte and local treatments for balancing the senses. Visiting practitioners bring unique talents to the spa to enlighten and inform guests. A little luxurious pampering never goes amiss and is on hand to complete the total relaxation experience. Shopping therapy is available at the cluster of boutiques that make up the retail village.

Dining & Refreshments : Dining at Soneva Kiri is truly diverse, with a dozen different dining options. They include menus created and presented by Catalonian Chef Jaume, to the authentic Thai dishes prepared by Khun Benz in her very own restaurant. An extraordinary dining pod hoisted into the tree tops take cuisine to a new height, plus a well-stocked wine cellar enhances every culinary offering. The cellar also hosts private diners and regular wine tastings. Meals are served with a variety of accompaniments, from spectacular sunsets to an ancient mangrove setting.

Indulgent treats can be found at the ice-cream parlor - with its fifty-plus flavors - and chocolate room; whilst socializing is ideally practiced at the rustic-chic Brown Bar and White Bar, plus the tea and coffee parlour. And not only does the organic garden provide the freshest produce for Soneva Kiri, it also provides a dining and drinks alternative.
